Google Search Console for YouTube

Google Search Console is designed for websites, not YouTube channels. Here is how the two relate:

Can You Add YouTube to Search Console?

You cannot add a YouTube channel as a Search Console property the same way you would a website. YouTube is managed through YouTube Studio, which provides its own analytics including impressions, views, CTR, and traffic sources.

Videos in Google Search Console

If you embed YouTube videos on your website, you may be able to track their performance in Google Search:

  • In the Performance report, change the Search Type filter to "Video" to see how video results on your site appear in Google
  • Use VideoObject schema markup on pages with embedded videos to make them eligible for video rich results
  • The Enhancements section will show any video schema issues if detected

For YouTube Channel Analytics

Use YouTube Studio for comprehensive channel analytics: views, watch time, subscriber growth, search terms, and more.
