GSC Wizard vs SEOTesting
SEOTesting is a testing tool with Search Console reports around it. GSC Wizard is a Search Console analysis tool with one experiment report in it. If running SEO tests is the reason you are shopping, SEOTesting is the better product and this page says so. If you mostly want the reports, the history and the alerts, the price difference is hard to ignore.
Disclosure: we make GSC Wizard, so read this as one side's account. To keep it useful, the section on where SEOTesting is the better choice comes first and is written as carefully as the one about us. Facts about other products come from each vendor's own website, checked October 3, 2026, and every source is linked at the bottom. Spot an error? Tell us.
On this page
You run SEO tests as a routine: split tests against a control group, URL switch tests, tests on AI-referred traffic. Or you want a branded monthly PDF and unlimited users.
You need Search Console analysis across more than a few sites, query and page history beyond 16 months, Bing reports, an indexing tracker, or alerts in Slack and Teams.
You test seriously on one or two important sites and need cheaper coverage for the rest. One SEOTesting site plus GSC Wizard Pro is $50 and €39 a month.

Where SEOTesting is the better choice
SEOTesting has been doing this since 2016, and on its core job it is ahead of us. These are the points where it is the better buy.
SEO testing, by a distance
This is what SEOTesting is for. You can test a single page, a group of pages or a URL change before and after a date. You can run a split test, where the pages you changed are compared with a matched group you left alone over the same period. You can test the effect of a change on AI-referred sessions using GA4. Time-based results are normalised against the site's overall trend and come with a p-value, an AI summary gives a plain verdict, and GA4 events can be reported on a test.
GSC Wizard has a single Experimentation report. You define two groups of URLs, and it compares their click growth with a significance test and a confidence interval. Our own documentation calls the result observational and says to read it as strong evidence, not as a controlled trial. If testing is a routine in your team, buy SEOTesting.
Unlimited users
Every SEOTesting plan includes unlimited users, and the company says outright that it does not charge for more. GSC Wizard includes 1, 3 or 10 invited seats and charges €9 a month for each extra one. For a content team of twelve working on one site, that matters.
A report you can hand to a client
SEOTesting produces a branded monthly PDF with a written AI summary, and tests and many of its reports can be shared through a link that opens without a login. GSC Wizard exports CSV and self-contained HTML reports and has a client portal with a sign-in per email. It has no PDF at all.
Almost ten years of doing this
SEOTesting launched in 2016 as SanityCheck and has carried its current name since 2020. It is a bootstrapped team of three with named customers and published case studies. GSC Wizard launched in 2026 and is built and run by one person. If vendor longevity is on your checklist, that is a fair point against us.
A longer trial and more monitoring
The trial is 14 days and covers up to 30 sites, against our 7 days. SEOTesting also has a Chrome extension with URL inspection, and it monitors sitemaps and robots.txt files, including competitor sitemaps.
Where GSC Wizard is the better choice
Outside testing, the comparison turns. These are the differences in our favour, each stated as something you can check.
Price per site
SEOTesting charges by the site: $50 a month for one, $125 for five, $375 for twenty. GSC Wizard charges €17 for ten live properties plus five stored, €39 for fifty plus twenty-five, and €249 for five hundred plus one hundred and fifty. For anyone with more than one site the gap is large, and it widens with every site you add.
History at query and page level
SEOTesting says plainly that it is not a Search Console archiving tool: most of its reports ask the Search Console API at runtime, so they see Google's 16 months. It does archive site-level totals, content groups and test results, which grow past 16 months over time. GSC Wizard stores the query, page, country and device rows themselves for stored properties and keeps them for up to ten years. So a three-year comparison of one page's queries works, once you have been a customer that long.
Bing as a full data source
In the app, SEOTesting shows Bing Webmaster data on its main dashboard only. GSC Wizard has Bing queries, pages and crawl issues as reports of their own.
Indexing
GSC Wizard's Index Tracker re-checks up to 1,800 URLs per property every day through Google's URL Inspection API and warns you when a page drops out of the index. It also submits URLs through IndexNow. SEOTesting offers URL inspection through its Chrome extension and an alert for new pages.
Alerts in Slack and Teams
GSC Wizard sends anomaly, indexing, Core Web Vitals and Google update alerts to Slack, Microsoft Teams or a webhook, and emails a digest of indexing changes. SEOTesting sends email: a daily update, test results, and new keywords and pages. So this one depends on where you want to be told. If it is your inbox, SEOTesting is the better fit, because GSC Wizard's traffic alerts do not go to email.
AI assistants
Both have an MCP server. SEOTesting documents its server for Claude and describes it as a proof of concept. GSC Wizard's MCP server runs on its data warehouse, connects to Claude, ChatGPT and Grok, and is available as an app in ChatGPT.
What each one costs
SEOTesting prices by the site and includes every user. GSC Wizard prices by the plan and limits seats. Monthly list prices for five situations:
| Situation | GSC Wizard | SEOTesting |
|---|---|---|
| 1 site | €17 (Starter) | $50 (Single Site) |
| 5 sites | €17 (Starter) | $125 (Medium) |
| 20 sites | €39 (Pro) | $375 (Large) |
| 50 sites | €39 (Pro) | Enterprise, price on request |
| 5 sites, team of 12 | €107 (Starter plus 10 seats) | $125 (Medium, unlimited users) |
List prices on October 3, 2026, monthly billing, before any VAT. SEOTesting is priced in US dollars; GSC Wizard's Starter, Pro and Business plans are $19, $49 and $299 in US dollars. Starter covers 10 live properties plus 5 with stored history; Pro covers 50 plus 25.
Using both
This is a sensible setup. Put the one or two sites where you run real tests on SEOTesting, and keep the whole portfolio in GSC Wizard for history, indexing and alerts. A single SEOTesting site and GSC Wizard Pro come to $50 and €39 a month, which is still well under SEOTesting's twenty-site plan.
Which one should you pick?
You run SEO tests every month
SEOTesting. The test types, the matched control groups and the client-ready write-ups are the product. We have no equivalent.
You want analysis on many sites
GSC Wizard. Seventy-five properties for €39 against twenty sites for $375, with stored query-level history on 25 of them, Bing reports and an indexing tracker.
You report to clients with a PDF
SEOTesting, or GSC Wizard paired with a reporting platform. We have no PDF export and no white-label.
Frequently asked questions
Is GSC Wizard an alternative to SEOTesting?
For Search Console reporting, history and monitoring, yes, at a much lower price per site. For SEO testing itself, only partly. GSC Wizard has one experiment report that compares two groups of pages; SEOTesting has single-page, group, URL switch, split and LLM traffic tests.
How much does SEOTesting cost?
$50 a month for one site, $125 for five and $375 for twenty, with unlimited users. Enterprise pricing is on request. The 14-day trial needs no card.
Does SEOTesting store Search Console data beyond 16 months?
Partly. Its documentation says it is not a Search Console archiving tool and that most reports query the API at runtime. It archives overall site performance daily, plus content groups and test results, so those grow past 16 months. Query and page level history stays within Google's window.
Can GSC Wizard run SEO split tests?
It has an Experimentation report: upload or auto-generate two groups of URLs, set a launch date, and it compares click growth between the groups with a significance test and a confidence interval. The result is observational. It does not offer matched control selection, URL switch tests or back-testing the way SEOTesting does.
Which has more users included?
SEOTesting: unlimited users on every plan. GSC Wizard includes 1, 3 or 10 invited seats depending on the plan, and extra seats cost €9 a month each.
