GSC Wizard compared, honestly

Five head-to-heads, five alternatives pages and ten buying guides for people choosing a Google Search Console tool. Each one says where the other product is the better choice, quotes prices from the vendor's own page, and names what GSC Wizard does not do.

Disclosure: we make GSC Wizard, and a comparison written by one of the tools being compared deserves suspicion. So every page here states where a competitor wins before it states where we do. Facts about other products come from each vendor's own website, checked October 3, 2026, and every source is linked at the bottom. Spot an error? Tell us.

How the five competitors were picked

GSC Wizard is an analysis layer on top of your own Google Search Console, GA4 and Bing data. The tools below are the ones we think a buyer is most likely to weigh against it. Three do the same job. Two are full SEO suites that most teams already pay for, and that now read Search Console data too, so the real question there is whether you need both.

The list comes from three checks: how much of the product overlaps with ours, how often the tool is named next to Search Console tools in other people's roundups, and what our own Search Console data shows people comparing.

Competitor What it is Why it is on the list
SEO Gets Search Console dashboard The closest product to ours. Same job, opposite pricing: free or flat-priced for unlimited sites and users, with stored history sold per site.
SEOTesting Search Console reports plus SEO testing Running since 2016 and the usual recommendation for SEO tests. It appears in most of the roundups of Search Console tools we read.
SEO Stack Search Console warehouse and SEO platform It makes the same core promise we do, stored Search Console history without the 1,000-row cap, and has added audits, content tools and AI visibility tracking on top.
Ahrefs SEO suite Where most SEO budgets go first. Its GSC Insights reports store Search Console history too, so buyers ask whether they still need a separate tool.
Semrush Marketing suite A full marketing suite, named in most lists of Search Console alternatives. Search Console versus Semrush is the competitor comparison our own site gets the most searches for.

Close calls that did not make five: Data Studio (free and the default for custom Search Console dashboards, but a dashboard builder, not an analysis product); SE Ranking (a cheaper suite that competes with Ahrefs and Semrush more than with us); SEOTalos (a low-priced Search Console dashboard with tests); IndexProbe (bulk index checking, which overlaps with one of our modules). They appear in the buying guides where they are the right answer.

GSC Wizard vs each competitor

One page per competitor. Each starts with where the other tool is the better choice, then where we are, then what both cost in four or five common situations.

Alternatives to each competitor

For people who already use one of these and are looking around. Each page opens with the cases where the honest advice is to stay, and lists several alternatives, not just ours.

Best Search Console tools by audience

The right tool depends on who is asking. An agency with sixty clients, a publisher living on Discover and a dentist with one site need different things, and for some of them the best answer is free.

How these pages are written

We wrote a whole page making fun of vendor comparison pages, in which GSC Wizard defeats Merlin and a setup wizard. The joke was that the vendor picks the criteria, so the vendor wins. These pages are our attempt to do the real thing without that trick.

The other tool goes first

Every head-to-head starts with where the competitor is the better choice. If we could not find at least three real points, the page does not get published.

Vendor facts come from the vendor

Prices, limits and features are taken from each company's own pricing page and documentation, checked October 3, 2026, and linked at the bottom of every page.

Our gaps are stated

GSC Wizard has no backlink index, no keyword database, no SERP rank tracker, no white-label and no free web plan. Where that decides it, the page says to buy something else.

Corrections are welcome

Vendors change plans often. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us through the feedback page and it gets fixed, whoever it favours.

Sources

The facts about each competitor come from the vendor pages below, read on October 3, 2026. Every other page in this section ends with its own list, covering each tool it names.

The roundups we read to see which tools are named next to Search Console tools: SEO Stack, SEOTesting, LLM Pulse, GSCdaddy, Alphonso Labs, OMR Reviews. They were used to choose the five, not as a source for prices or features.
