SEO Gets alternatives: 7 options, and when to stay put

SEO Gets is good at what it does, and its free plan makes it hard to argue against. People usually start looking elsewhere for one of four reasons: they need more than 16 months of history on many sites, they want Bing data, they want alerts when traffic drops, or they need deeper analysis than a dashboard gives. Here are seven alternatives, sorted by which of those reasons each one solves, with the free ones included.

Disclosure: we make one of the alternatives on this page (GSC Wizard). It gets the same "watch for" note as every other tool, and the page starts with the cases where the honest advice is to stay with SEO Gets. Facts about other products come from each vendor's own website, checked October 3, 2026, and every source is linked at the bottom. Spot an error? Tell us.

Best for stored history and alerts

GSC Wizard. Up to ten years of history on stored properties is included, with Bing data and alerts in Slack or Teams. From €17 a month.

Best for SEO testing

SEOTesting. Proper split tests with a control group, from $50 a month for one site.

Best free alternative

Ahrefs Free for stored Search Console history plus a site audit, or Search Console itself, which now has annotations and, on sites with enough impressions, a branded filter.

Should you leave SEO Gets at all?

Before the list, the honest question. SEO Gets is the right tool for a lot of people, and switching costs time.

Stay with SEO Gets if

  • You use the free plan and it does what you need. It includes the master dashboard, decay tabs and branded tracking, and nothing paid on this page beats free for that.
  • You manage dozens of sites with a large team, and 16 months of history is enough. Unlimited sites and seats for $59 a month is among the best flat prices in this category.
  • You share live dashboards with clients through no-login, unbranded links. Few alternatives offer that.
  • You only need longer history on one or two sites. Two Super Sites at $10 each cost less than switching.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want more than 16 months of history on many sites. At $10 per site per month, Super Sites add up.
  • You need Bing Webmaster data. SEO Gets lists it on its roadmap as under consideration.
  • You want alerts when traffic drops. Those are listed on its roadmap as under consideration, and its indexing emails are for Super Sites only.
  • You need forecasting, anomaly detection or split tests with a control group.
  • Your clients require data to be stored in the EU. SEO Gets says the data it holds is stored in the United States, and that by default it does not store Search Console site data.

7 SEO Gets alternatives

Every entry gets the same four notes. Ours is first because this is our site; read its watch-for note with that in mind.

1. GSC Wizard

What it is. A Search Console, GA4, Bing, Yandex and Google Merchant Center analysis tool. It stores your Search Console history in its own warehouse (up to ten years on stored properties) and builds reports on top: content decay, cannibalization, CTR benchmarks, striking-distance queries, forecasting, anomaly detection and an indexing tracker. Traffic and indexing alerts go to Slack, Microsoft Teams or a webhook, and the same data is available to ChatGPT and Claude through an MCP server, including the Yandex and Merchant Center data.

Why pick it over SEO Gets. History is the main reason. Stored properties keep up to ten years of query and page data as part of the plan, where SEO Gets charges $10 per site per month for up to five. You also get Bing data, alerts to Slack, Teams or a webhook, forecasting, and an index tracker that is included, not an add-on. Data is hosted in the EU. For one person with up to ten sites it is also cheaper than SEO Gets Core: €17 against $59.

Watch for. There is no free plan for the web app, only a 7-day trial. Plans cover 10, 50 or 500 live properties plus 5, 25 or 150 stored ones, and 1, 3 or 10 invited seats, so a large agency team pays more than it would at SEO Gets. Client sharing needs a sign-in per email: there are no unbranded no-login links, no Chrome extension and no annual discount. See the full head-to-head.

Cost. 7-day free trial without a card, then Starter at €17 a month (10 live properties plus 5 with stored history, 15 in total, 1 invited seat), Pro at €39 (50 plus 25, 75 in total, 3 seats) and Business at €249 (500 plus 150, 650 in total, 10 seats). In US dollars that is $19, $49 and $299. Every feature is on every plan. There is no free plan for the web app and no annual discount. GSC Wizard pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.

2. SEOTesting

What it is. One of the longest-running Search Console tools, launched in 2016 under the name SanityCheck. Its core is SEO testing: single-page, group and URL-switch tests measured before and after a change, split tests against a matched control group, and tests of AI-referred traffic using GA4. Around that sit the standard reports (content decay, cannibalization, striking distance, brand versus non-brand), content groups, annotations with Google updates added automatically, and a branded monthly PDF report.

Why pick it over SEO Gets. SEO Gets starts a simple test from every annotation. SEOTesting makes testing the product: single-page, group and URL-switch tests, split tests against a matched control group, back-testing, GA4 events on test results and a p-value on time-based tests. It also produces a branded monthly PDF and includes unlimited users.

Watch for. The pricing model is the opposite of SEO Gets: per site. Five sites cost $125 a month and twenty cost $375. Its documentation says it is not a Search Console archiving tool, so query and page history stays within 16 months. Site totals, content groups and tests accumulate, and most other reports read the API live.

Cost. $50 a month for one site, $125 for five and $375 for twenty, with unlimited users on every plan. Enterprise pricing is on request. 14-day trial without a card, with up to 30 sites. SEOTesting pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.

3. Ahrefs Free

What it is. The free tier of Ahrefs, formerly called Ahrefs Webmaster Tools. For sites you verify, which takes Owner permission on the Search Console property or a DNS or HTML check, it gives limited access to Site Audit (5,000 crawl credits a month per project), Site Explorer (1,000 backlinks and keywords visible at once), Web Analytics and the GSC Insights reports.

Why pick it over SEO Gets. It costs nothing and it keeps your Search Console data for as long as the account stays connected, which the SEO Gets free plan does not. GSC Insights adds cannibalisation and low-hanging-fruit charts and estimates the keywords behind anonymized queries. The same free account includes a site audit with 5,000 crawl credits a month per project.

Watch for. It only covers sites you verify, which takes Owner permission on the Search Console property or a DNS or HTML check, so it is harder to use on client sites. Ahrefs' help centre says a delay of a few weeks behind Search Console can be normal, and that connected Search Console data is used to improve its keyword volume estimates. It is one corner of a large suite whose paid plans start at €27 a month.

Cost. Free for verified site owners, with unlimited verified websites. Ahrefs Free. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.

4. SEOTalos

What it is. A low-cost multi-site Search Console dashboard with SEO tests included on both of its plans.

Why pick it over SEO Gets. The closest match on pricing model. Pro is $59 a month for unlimited sites and unlimited seats, the same as SEO Gets Core, and SEO tests are included on both plans. The $29 Starter plan covers 10 sites and 2 seats.

Watch for. Its roadmap still lists stored history beyond Google's 16 months as planned, so expect 16 months for now, and there is no free plan.

Cost. Starter is $29 a month for 10 sites and 2 seats. Pro is $59 for unlimited sites and seats. 7-day trial. SEOTalos pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.

5. SEO Stack

What it is. A Search Console data warehouse that has grown into a wider platform. Every site on the plan is warehoused with no row cap, and around that it adds a site audit crawler, NLP content briefs, AI content writing, AI visibility tracking and project management. Its keyword and rank data come from your own Search Console, not from a scraped index.

Why pick it over SEO Gets. If history is why you are leaving, SEO Stack warehouses every site on the plan with no row cap, for 60 months on Basic and Pro. It also adds a site audit crawler, NLP content briefs and AI visibility tracking, areas SEO Gets has stayed out of.

Watch for. It costs more than twice as much as SEO Gets Core, plans include 10, 30 or 200 sites with more at $10 each, and there is no free plan. Its site lists no Bing Webmaster Tools data either, and its own pages mark Slack and bulk indexing as coming soon.

Cost. Basic is $129.99 a month for 10 websites and 5 team members with 60 months of stored history. Pro is $349.99 for 30 websites and Agency $679.99 for 200 websites and 120+ months. Extra websites are $10 a month each. 14-day trial; the pricing page says a card is required, although other pages on its site say it is not. The $19.99 and $69.99 plans you may still see quoted elsewhere are closed to new signups. SEO Stack pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.

6. Data Studio

What it is. Google's free dashboard builder, renamed back from Looker Studio in April 2026. Its native Search Console connector feeds any layout you can design, and partner connectors add other sources.

Why pick it over SEO Gets. If what you want from SEO Gets is a readable chart to share, Data Studio does that for nothing, in whatever layout the client asks for, and blends in GA4 or ad data.

Watch for. It solves none of the usual reasons for leaving SEO Gets. History is still 16 months, the Search Console connector offers site-level and page-level tables that one data source cannot combine, the 50,000-row daily limit applies, and someone has to build and maintain every report.

Cost. Free for report creators and viewers. Data Studio Pro is $9 per user per project per month. Data Studio pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.

7. Google Search Console

What it is. Google's own tool, and the source every other product on this page reads from. It has gained a lot recently: an hourly view of the last 24 hours, custom annotations on charts, a branded queries filter on sites with enough impressions, weekly and monthly chart views, query groups in the Insights report for larger sites and, since June 2026, a report on impressions in AI Overviews and AI Mode.

Why pick it over SEO Gets. Worth a second look before you pay anyone. Search Console now has custom annotations, a branded queries filter on sites with enough impressions, weekly and monthly chart views, an hourly view of the last 24 hours and a report on AI Overview and AI Mode impressions.

Watch for. Tables still stop at 1,000 rows, history at 16 months, and you see one property at a time. Annotations are deleted after 500 days. There is no cannibalization report, nothing on decay beyond the Insights report's trending-down list, and no multi-site view, which is why tools like SEO Gets exist.

Cost. Free. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.

Which alternative fits your reason for leaving

You need longer history on many sites

GSC Wizard if 5, 25 or 150 stored properties cover it and you want Bing and alerts too. SEO Stack if you want every site warehoused and will use its audit and content tools. Ahrefs Free if the budget is zero and you can verify the sites.

You want alerts and Bing data

GSC Wizard. It is the only option on this page that we found sending traffic and indexing alerts to Slack and Teams, and it has Bing Webmaster Tools reports of its own.

You want to prove that changes worked

SEOTesting, or SEOTalos if the per-site price rules it out.

You want to spend less

Stay on the SEO Gets free plan, or use Search Console itself with Data Studio. Nothing paid beats those on price.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free alternative to SEO Gets?

SEO Gets' own free plan is hard to beat for a multi-site dashboard. If you need history beyond 16 months for free, Ahrefs Free stores Search Console data while your account is connected. If you need custom layouts, Data Studio is free. Search Console itself has added annotations, weekly and monthly views and, on sites with enough impressions, a branded filter.

Which SEO Gets alternative stores more than 16 months of data?

GSC Wizard (up to ten years on stored properties, included), SEO Stack (60 to 120+ months depending on plan) and Ahrefs (for as long as the account is connected). SEO Gets itself offers up to five years through Super Sites at $10 per site per month. None of them can backfill beyond the 16 months Google holds when you connect.

Is there an SEO Gets alternative with Bing data?

GSC Wizard reads Bing Webmaster Tools next to Search Console. SEOTesting shows Bing data on its main dashboard. SEO Gets and SEO Stack list no Bing Webmaster Tools data.

Is SEO Gets worth paying for?

For agencies and portfolio owners, usually yes: $59 a month for unlimited sites and seats with GA4, content groups and client links is good value. It is less convincing if you need long history on many sites, since each one costs another $10 a month.
