SEO Stack alternatives: 6 options, and when to stay put
SEO Stack began as a Search Console data warehouse and is now a wider platform with audits, content tools and AI visibility tracking, priced from $129.99 a month. If you came for the warehouse and do not use the rest, there are cheaper ways to store Search Console history, including a free one from Google. If you use all of it, the real alternatives are the suites.
Disclosure: we make one of the alternatives on this page (GSC Wizard). It gets the same "watch for" note as every other tool, and the page starts with the cases where the honest advice is to stay with SEO Stack. Facts about other products come from each vendor's own website, checked October 3, 2026, and every source is linked at the bottom. Spot an error? Tell us.
On this page
GSC Wizard. Stored Search Console history for up to ten years, with Bing data and alerts, from €17 a month.
Google's own bulk export to BigQuery. Complete data, kept forever, if someone on the team writes SQL.
Ahrefs or SE Ranking. Backlinks, keyword databases and SERP rank tracking, which SEO Stack does not have.
Should you leave SEO Stack at all?
SEO Stack bundles a lot. Whether it is worth $129.99 depends on how much of the bundle you use.
Stay with SEO Stack if
- You use the whole platform: warehouse, site audits, NLP briefs, AI content and AI visibility tracking. Buying those separately costs more.
- You need 5 to 15 team members with per-property permissions included in the price.
- You want every site on the plan warehoused, without choosing which ones.
- You are on a grandfathered Single Site or Lite plan. Those prices are no longer sold, so think before giving one up.
Look elsewhere if
- You only use the Search Console warehouse. $129.99 a month is a lot for that alone.
- You need Bing Webmaster data.
- You need bulk indexing monitoring or Slack alerts now. SEO Stack marks both as coming soon.
- You need backlinks, search volumes or SERP rank tracking. SEO Stack has none of them by design.
- You want more than 60 months of history without the $679.99 Agency plan.
The alternatives at a glance
| Alternative | Best for | Entry price | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| GSC Wizard | The warehouse, with Bing and alerts | €17/mo, 7-day trial | Fewer seats; no audit crawler or content tools |
| Search Console bulk export to BigQuery | Owning the complete data yourself | Usage-based (Google Cloud) | SQL required; no backfill |
| SEO Gets | A free or flat-priced dashboard | Free; Core $59/mo | Live API; history is a per-site add-on |
| SEOTesting | Testing changes, with reports around it | $50/mo for 1 site | Per site; not an archive |
| Ahrefs | Stored history inside a full suite | €27/mo (Starter), €119 (Lite); free tier | €119 a month for one user |
| SE Ranking | A cheaper all-in-one with rank tracking | €109/mo, 14-day trial | Built around rank data, not Search Console history |
| SEO Stack (for reference) | Warehouse, audits, content and AI visibility in one login | $129.99/mo, 14-day trial | From $129.99 a month |

6 SEO Stack alternatives
Every entry gets the same four notes. Ours is first because this is our site; read its watch-for note with that in mind.
1. GSC Wizard
What it is. A Search Console, GA4, Bing, Yandex and Google Merchant Center analysis tool. It stores your Search Console history in its own warehouse (up to ten years on stored properties) and builds reports on top: content decay, cannibalization, CTR benchmarks, striking-distance queries, forecasting, anomaly detection and an indexing tracker. Traffic and indexing alerts go to Slack, Microsoft Teams or a webhook, and the same data is available to ChatGPT and Claude through an MCP server, including the Yandex and Merchant Center data.
Why pick it over SEO Stack. It makes the same core promise, stored Search Console history without the 1,000-row cap, at a very different price: €17 a month where SEO Stack starts at $129.99. Retention is up to ten years on every plan. It adds things SEO Stack does not list or marks as coming soon: Bing data, an index tracker for up to 1,800 URLs per property, and alerts in Slack and Teams.
Watch for. It does less outside search data. There is no full site audit crawler, no content briefs or AI writing, no AI visibility or prompt tracking and no PDF export. Only 5, 25 or 150 properties per plan are warehoused, and invited seats are 1, 3 or 10 against SEO Stack's 5, 10 and 15. See the full head-to-head.
Cost. 7-day free trial without a card, then Starter at €17 a month (10 live properties plus 5 with stored history, 15 in total, 1 invited seat), Pro at €39 (50 plus 25, 75 in total, 3 seats) and Business at €249 (500 plus 150, 650 in total, 10 seats). In US dollars that is $19, $49 and $299. Every feature is on every plan. There is no free plan for the web app and no annual discount. GSC Wizard pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.
2. Search Console bulk export to BigQuery
What it is. Google's own daily export of Search Console performance data into a BigQuery dataset that you control. It is not subject to the daily row limit, it keeps anonymized queries as flagged rows with the query text blank instead of dropping them, and the tables are kept forever by default. You query it with SQL or chart it in Data Studio.
Why pick it over SEO Stack. This is the warehouse without a vendor. Google writes every day's Search Console performance data into your own BigQuery project, with no row limit and with anonymized queries kept as flagged rows whose query text is blank, and keeps it for as long as you like. You pay Google Cloud for storage and queries, and there is a free usage level.
Watch for. It gives you tables, not reports. Someone has to write SQL or build Data Studio dashboards on top. Nothing is backfilled: history starts on the day you switch it on, which is the strongest reason to enable it today whatever tool you choose.
Cost. No licence fee. You pay Google Cloud storage and query costs, which have a free usage level, and you need a Cloud project with billing enabled. Google's bulk export documentation. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.
3. SEO Gets
What it is. A clean, fast Search Console dashboard built for people who run many sites. The free plan covers unlimited sites and team members and includes the master dashboard, growth and decay tabs, branded versus non-branded tracking and Google core updates on charts. The paid Core plan adds GA4, content groups, topic clusters, opportunity reports, annotations that start an SEO test automatically, an MCP server and no-login client links. It reads Search Console live and shows Google's 16 months; longer history is a per-site add-on called Super Sites.
Why pick it over SEO Stack. If you can live with 16 months on most sites, SEO Gets is free for the basics and $59 a month for the Core plan, with unlimited sites and team members. Longer history is available per site for $10 a month.
Watch for. It is not a warehouse by default: it reads Search Console live and says so. Super Sites keep up to five years, the same as SEO Stack's Basic and Pro plans and less than its Agency plan. No Bing Webmaster Tools data.
Cost. Free plan. Core is $59 a month or $590 a year. Super Sites, which keep up to five years of history and add index reporting for up to 5,000 pages, cost $10 per site per month. Sites and team members are unlimited on every plan. SEO Gets pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.
4. SEOTesting
What it is. One of the longest-running Search Console tools, launched in 2016 under the name SanityCheck. Its core is SEO testing: single-page, group and URL-switch tests measured before and after a change, split tests against a matched control group, and tests of AI-referred traffic using GA4. Around that sit the standard reports (content decay, cannibalization, striking distance, brand versus non-brand), content groups, annotations with Google updates added automatically, and a branded monthly PDF report.
Why pick it over SEO Stack. Choose it if what you want from a Search Console tool is proof that a change worked. Its split and time-based tests go well beyond annotations.
Watch for. It states that it is not a Search Console archiving tool, so it does not replace the warehouse. Pricing is per site: $50 for one, $375 for twenty.
Cost. $50 a month for one site, $125 for five and $375 for twenty, with unlimited users on every plan. Enterprise pricing is on request. 14-day trial without a card, with up to 30 sites. SEOTesting pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.
5. Ahrefs
What it is. A full SEO suite built on its own crawl of the web: a backlink index, a keyword database, competitor research in Site Explorer, a rank tracker, a site audit crawler and AI visibility tracking in Brand Radar. Its GSC Insights reports read your connected Search Console, keep the data for as long as the account stays connected, and list keywords that Search Console leaves out, taken from Ahrefs' own index.
Why pick it over SEO Stack. Ahrefs stores connected Search Console data for as long as the account stays connected, and unlike SEO Stack it also has a backlink index, a keyword database with search volumes and SERP rank tracking, next to a site audit of its own. If you were going to pay for a suite anyway, GSC Insights may be all the warehouse you need. The free tier includes it for verified sites.
Watch for. Lite is €119 a month with one user, and extra users are listed at €37 to €75 each. Search Console is a side feature of a large product, with fewer first-party reports than a dedicated tool. Ahrefs' help centre says a delay of a few weeks behind Search Console can be normal.
Cost. Starter is €27 a month with 200 credits; extra users and credits cannot be added to it. Lite, the first full plan, is €119 a month (quoted as $129 in Ahrefs' help centre), Standard €229 and Advanced €419, each with one user. Extra users are listed at €37 to €75 a month each and billed by how much they use the tool. There is no free trial. Ahrefs Free gives verified site owners limited Site Audit, Site Explorer, Web Analytics and GSC Insights at no cost. Ahrefs pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.
6. SE Ranking
What it is. A mid-priced all-in-one suite: daily rank tracking, a site audit, keyword and competitor research and backlink monitoring, with Search Console and GA4 connected alongside.
Why pick it over SEO Stack. If you use SEO Stack's audit and tracking features and wish they ran on real SERP data, SE Ranking is a mid-priced suite with daily rank tracking for 2,000 keywords, a site audit, and keyword and competitor research.
Watch for. Its Search Console integration compares clicks and impressions with tracked positions, and its site does not describe storing your Search Console history. Core includes one seat.
Cost. Core is €109 a month, or €87.20 billed annually, for 10 projects, one seat and 2,000 tracked keywords. Growth is €235. White label is the Agency Pack, from €59 a month, billed annually. 14-day trial without a card. SE Ranking pricing. Price checked Oct 3, 2026.
Which alternative fits your reason for leaving
You only want stored Search Console history
GSC Wizard for a ready-made tool with reports and alerts. The BigQuery bulk export if someone on the team writes SQL. Ideally switch on the export either way.
You want SERP data and backlinks
Ahrefs, or SE Ranking on a smaller budget. Neither SEO Stack nor GSC Wizard has a backlink index or a scraper-based rank tracker.
You want it free
SEO Gets Free for the dashboard, the BigQuery export for the archive, and Ahrefs Free for stored history on verified sites.
You use SEO Stack's content and AI tools
Stay. None of the Search Console tools here replaces those.
Frequently asked questions
How much does SEO Stack cost now?
Basic is $129.99 a month, Pro $349.99 and Agency $679.99. The $19.99 and $69.99 plans you may still see quoted elsewhere are closed to new signups.
What is the cheapest way to store Search Console data beyond 16 months?
Google's bulk export to BigQuery, which has no licence fee and bills only Google Cloud usage. It needs setting up and does not backfill. Among ready-made tools, Ahrefs Free stores data for verified sites at no cost, and GSC Wizard starts at €17 a month for five stored properties.
Is there an SEO Stack alternative with Bing data?
GSC Wizard reads Bing Webmaster Tools. SEOTesting shows Bing data on its main dashboard.
Does SEO Stack have backlink or search volume data?
No. Its documentation says there is no backlink index and no third-party keyword volume database; keyword and rank data come from your own Search Console. For those, look at Ahrefs, Semrush or SE Ranking.
