ChatGPT rank tracking: 12 tools that track your visibility in ChatGPT (2026)
Updated · by Jan-Willem Bobbink
ChatGPT rank tracking means running a fixed list of prompts through ChatGPT on a schedule and recording whether your brand is named, and which pages are cited, in the answers that come back. It is a sample you design, not a ranking: I could find no OpenAI report that gives site owners positions, impressions or clicks inside ChatGPT, so every number in these tools comes from the vendor's own prompt runs. Of the twelve trackers I checked on November 5, 2026, Peec AI and Searchable are the only two that combine daily runs on the entry plan, a released GA4 connection that reports AI traffic and a self-serve price on the vendor's site, so those are the two I would shortlist first, although that is a filter on what the vendors publish and not a test of how accurate their data is. Otterly.AI and Rankscale are the cheapest ways in, Semrush, SE Ranking and Ahrefs make sense if you already pay for that suite, AgencyAnalytics fits agencies that report to clients, and Profound, Conductor and seoClarity publish no self-serve price for brands, so for a price you go through sales.
Disclosure: I build GSC Wizard, which is not a prompt tracker and is not in this list. It works with first-party data (Search Console, GA4 and Bing Webmaster Tools), and it has its own section further down, where I also say what it cannot do. Every price, plan limit and integration below comes from the vendor's own pages, checked on November 5, 2026 from the Netherlands. Prices in this category change often, so check the vendor's page before you buy.
Prices depend on where you are: the amount and currency you see can differ from mine. Peec AI and Rankscale showed me euros and switched to dollars when I set my browser to a New York time zone. Otterly.AI, AgencyAnalytics and Ahrefs kept showing me euros in that test, although Otterly.AI, AgencyAnalytics and Ahrefs' Brand Radar page carry dollars in their page source, and AgencyAnalytics says "Pricing and available plans may vary by region". Semrush and SE Ranking also served me euros. Profound, Scrunch and Searchable showed me dollars, and seoClarity lists dollars and pounds. Where I give two currencies below, both come from the vendor.
On this page
Peec AI or Searchable, the only two of the twelve with daily runs on the entry plan, a released GA4 connection that reports AI traffic and a self-serve price. Both connect GA4 through Google sign-in. Searchable also connects Search Console, and Peec AI has that in early access.
Rankscale Essentials (€17/mo as shown to me, billed yearly only) or Otterly.AI Lite (€29/mo billed monthly, as shown to me). The currency depends on your location, and the allowances are small: 120 credits or 15 prompts.
Semrush (through its AI Visibility Toolkit or Semrush One), SE Ranking and Ahrefs each offer daily prompt tracking in a paid subscription. If you already have that, try it before you buy a second tool.
What is ChatGPT rank tracking?
A ChatGPT rank tracker sends the prompts you choose to ChatGPT, and usually to other assistants too, at a fixed interval, stores the answers, and checks each one for your brand, your competitors and the URLs cited as sources. The vendors describe that unit of work plainly. Peec AI's agency plans bill "1 prompt x 1 model x 1 day = 1 credit", AgencyAnalytics says "One credit = one prompt query, tracked on one AI platform, for one location", and Ahrefs says "Each prompt is checked daily on every selected platform." From those runs a tracker works out how often you appeared, your share of voice against competitors, and which sources were cited.
What it does not have is a ranking in the Search Console sense. A ChatGPT answer is generated text rather than a list of ten results, and the OpenAI documentation for site owners that I could reach covers crawler access, not performance. One line there is worth checking before you pay for any tracker: "Sites that are opted out of OAI-SearchBot will not be shown in ChatGPT search answers, though can still appear as navigational links." When one of these tools reports a "position", it describes where your brand appeared within the answers the tool collected, not a rank that ChatGPT publishes.
How ChatGPT rank tracking works, and where it stops
Sampled runs, not a measurement of real users
Each run is one answer to one prompt, from the account, location and model the tracker used. Real people ask in their own words, often deep in a longer conversation, and the tracker sees none of that. So a visibility percentage tells you the share of the tracker's own answers that included you, and it says nothing directly about how many people saw your brand. It is a useful signal for spotting direction and comparing yourself with competitors on the same prompts, as long as nobody reads it as an audience number.
Why the same prompt gives different answers
Answers vary from run to run, which is why these tools repeat each prompt and report a trend rather than a single check. They also vary with the setup, because "ChatGPT" is not one thing. Conductor tracks "ChatGPT (Auto)" and "ChatGPT (Search)" as separate engines, Peec AI's Enterprise column lists "GPT 5 Search(API)" as a model of its own, and Searchable's Claude Lite and Grok Lite options "track answers using the model's learned knowledge from training, with web search turned off." Location matters too, which is why AgencyAnalytics counts a credit per location and Peec AI's Starter plan covers one country, and AgencyAnalytics warns that in its Opportunities feature "ChatGPT results are based on US searches, no matter where your client is located." Finally, a tracker's account does not share a real user's chat history, memory or settings, so the answer a person sees can differ from the one the tracker recorded.
The prompts you choose decide the number
Visibility is computed over your prompt set, so changing the prompts changes the score without changing anything ChatGPT says. Prompts that name your brand score high because the brand is already in the question, and a set built from topics you win looks better than one built from topics you lose. Write the prompts from real questions, keep a stable core over time, and treat any change to the set as a break in the trend line. The prompts also travel: in my own Search Console for gscwizard.com, queries such as "i am an seo professional, recommend me chatgpt seo tool" show up, with 16 variations of that opening collecting 29 impressions and no clicks between May and early November 2026. My reading, which Search Console data cannot confirm, is that most of them come from trackers sending templated prompts through Google rather than from people typing them.
Mentions and citations are different things
A mention is your brand named in the answer text, and a citation is one of your URLs given as a source. Conductor reports them separately as "Mention-based SOV" and "Citation-based SOV", and seoClarity sells "Mention and Citation Share of Voice". The difference matters for traffic, because a visit needs a link to click, and only a visit can show up in GA4. A brand that is mentioned often and cited rarely is being recommended without being linked, and that calls for different work than a brand whose pages are cited while its name never appears in the answer.
Why two trackers disagree about the same brand
Put two trackers on the same brand and they will disagree, and both can be right. They run different prompts on different engines or modes, from different locations, at different frequencies: Scrunch collects daily for a new prompt's first 14 days and then "shifts to a default 72-hour refresh cadence", AgencyAnalytics checks weekly, and Rankscale lets you schedule each term anywhere from hourly to monthly. Each tool also defines visibility, position and share of voice in its own way. Compare a tool with itself over time, and do not read a gap between two tools as an error in either one.
The 12 ChatGPT rank tracking tools at a glance
"Entry plan" here means the cheapest plan or trial that includes prompt tracking. Prices are exactly as each vendor's page showed them to me when I checked on November 5, 2026 from the Netherlands, in the currency shown, so they can differ where you are, and "GA4" and "Search Console" mean a connection to your own property rather than an estimate. "None found" means I looked through the vendor's integrations page, docs and pricing table and found nothing, so it is worth asking them if it matters to you.

Trackers built for AI visibility
These six are built around prompt tracking, and most have added first-party data such as GA4 or crawler logs on top. The list is not a ranking, and the order only groups similar tools together.
1. Peec AI
Good at: daily tracking on every plan, with your own traffic next to it. Starter runs 50 prompts daily on three models you choose from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. AI Referrals connects GA4 through Google OAuth and reports sessions, conversions and revenue from AI assistants by source, landing page, country and device, and the pricing table lists it on every plan. A newer read-only Search Console connection adds clicks, impressions, CTR and position, with "Ranking but not cited" and "Cited but not ranking" views. Crawl Insights reads AI bot visits from CDN and hosting logs, and MCP access is on all plans.
Watch for: Peec's changelog of October 13, 2026 marks the Search Console connection as early access, and its docs say the data "does not distinguish between regular search results, AI Overviews, and AI Mode". Starter covers one project and one country, Perplexity is a paid add-on model, and the API starts on Pro (€205/mo as shown to me, $245/mo with a US time zone).
Fits: an in-house team that wants daily ChatGPT tracking and wants to see in the same tool whether it turns into visits.
2. Profound
Good at: breadth and the AI bot side. Enterprise tracks up to nine answer engines (the plan table names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, Google AI Overviews, Exa Search and Muse Spark), Agent Analytics reads AI crawler traffic through integrations with CDNs such as Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai and Vercel, and a GA4 connection imports sessions, transactions and purchase revenue. It also has Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations for alerts, which I did not find for prompt data at most of the other tools here.
Watch for: there is no public self-serve paid plan for brands. The free trial runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and after that it is Enterprise at a custom price, with the API on Enterprise only. Its integrations page calls Search Console a native integration, while its docs and blog present it as data for Agents and Workflows, so I would not count on a standing Search Console report. Microsoft Copilot appears in a line on its integrations pages but not in that plan table, so ask if you need it. Agencies can add client workspaces at $399/month each, but the Agency Growth base fee is not on the page.
Fits: larger brands that will go through a demo and want crawler data and revenue next to answer tracking.
3. Otterly.AI
Good at: a low monthly price for daily tracking. Lite costs €29/month, or €25/month billed annually, as shown to me ($29 and $25 in the page source), and tracks 15 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and MS Copilot, with recommendations included. Standard (€189/month as shown to me, 100 prompts) adds API and MCP access, unlimited workspaces and Agent Analytics for AI crawler logs.
Watch for: 15 prompts is a small sample, and Lite has one workspace and three recommendations a week. Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons, at €9, €9 and €29 a month on Lite as shown to me. I found no native GA4 or Search Console connection. For GA4 Otterly offers a free Looker Studio template, and its help page notes that this excludes Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.
Fits: a solo marketer or small team trying ChatGPT tracking before committing to more.
4. Scrunch
Good at: prompt volume and revenue. Core covers 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AIO and Copilot, with a 7-day free trial. AI Referrals connects GA4 or Adobe Analytics and reports AI-referred traffic, conversions and purchase revenue, and agent traffic comes in through CDN and hosting integrations.
Watch for: prompts do not stay on a daily schedule. Scrunch collects daily for a new prompt's first 14 days and then moves to a default 72-hour refresh, although it says prompt data can be refreshed at any time. Core supports one brand and five competitors, the Query API is not on Core, the plan table does not list AI Referrals, so confirm it is on Core, and I found no Search Console integration. Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok are on the Enterprise list of nine and not on Core.
Fits: brands that care more about AI referral revenue than about day-to-day movement.
5. Rankscale
Good at: engine coverage and control over frequency at a low entry price. Rankscale advertises "17+ AI engines" with "no per-engine upsell tiers", including Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and DeepSeek, and each term can be scheduled from hourly to monthly. AI Visits reads AI bot traffic from Cloudflare and separates bots answering a user right now from those crawling for search and training.
Watch for: everything is paid in credits. Essentials (€17/mo as shown to me, billed yearly only, the same number in dollars with a US time zone) includes 120 credits a month and Pro (€99/mo, or €84/mo yearly) includes 1,200. Essentials appears only in the pricing page's comparison table, and the homepage says plans start at $99 a month. Rankscale puts a run at "typically 0.25 credits per engine per prompt", so by my arithmetic one daily prompt on one engine uses about 7.5 credits a month and Essentials covers roughly 16 prompt and engine pairs checked daily, while a Claude run costs 2 credits. The GA4 and Search Console connection is still a preview from Pro upward that only the workspace owner can switch on, AI Visits needs your site on Cloudflare, the REST API starts at Pro+ (€229/mo as shown to me), and alerts go by email to the owner only.
Fits: anyone who wants many engines and per-term scheduling, and is willing to budget credits.
6. Searchable
Good at: prompts, GA4 and Search Console in one product. Pro tracks 100 prompts per model daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, and connects GA4 and Search Console by OAuth: GA4 "for session data, traffic sources, and conversions", Search Console "for search queries, click-through rates, and ranking positions". It also reads AI crawler logs from hosts and CDNs such as Cloudflare, Vercel, AWS CloudFront, Fastly and Netlify, generates content (20 articles a month on Pro) and has a REST API and an MCP server.
Watch for: only three engines are included, and "Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Gemini, Claude, Grok and Meta Muse are paid add-ons, priced per plan." The GA4 setup doc asks for Editor or Administrator access and names plans (Professional, Agency, Custom) that do not match the current pricing page, so confirm GA4 is on the plan you buy. Pro keeps 12 months of data, white-label reports and Looker Studio are not on Pro, and the docs say plainly that it "doesn't post into Slack or Teams on its own".
Fits: an in-house team that wants daily ChatGPT tracking with GA4 and Search Console behind one login, and can live with paying extra for engines beyond the first three.
SEO suites that added ChatGPT tracking
If you already pay for one of these, this is usually the cheapest start, because prompt tracking sits next to the keyword data you already use. SE Ranking Core and every paid Ahrefs plan include it, while Semrush sells it through the AI Visibility Toolkit or Semrush One. The entry allowances are small: 25 prompts at Semrush and SE Ranking, and 5 at Ahrefs.
7. Semrush (AI Visibility Toolkit)
Good at: research around the tracking. The AI Visibility Toolkit Base plan tracks 25 custom prompts daily for one domain, and Prompt Tracking covers ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini. Around that sit a database of "over 317 million prompts and responses", share of voice against competitors and a site audit for AI readiness. Semrush One combines the SEO and AI Visibility toolkits, and its Starter plan ($199/mo in Semrush's USD price data, €190 monthly as shown to me) tracks 50 prompts daily.
Watch for: the toolkit is a separate purchase per domain unless you buy Semrush One. The AI Traffic dashboard belongs to the Traffic & Market Toolkit and is Semrush's own traffic data for any domain, not your GA4. Google Analytics and Search Console connect per project, I found no report that takes AI referrals from your own GA4, and API access is on the Advanced plan only.
Fits: teams already on Semrush who want ChatGPT, AI Mode and Gemini behind the same login.
8. SE Ranking (Core AI tracking and SE Visible)
Good at: ChatGPT tracking included in a classic rank tracker. Core includes "AI Visibility tracking 25 prompts daily 5 AI engines" next to 2,000 keywords tracked daily, GA4 and Search Console integrations, and API and MCP access. SE Visible, the standalone AI product, tracks ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot and starts with 75 prompts on its Basic plan. Core is €109.00/mo, or €87.20/mo billed annually, as shown to me; SE Ranking's own blog quotes "$129/mo for the Core plan".
Watch for: 25 prompts is a small sample. Perplexity is not in SE Visible's tracking list, although SE Ranking's AI Visibility API covers it. The MCP server lists SE Ranking's own data and does not name GA4 or Search Console. The Agency Pack for white-label reporting is +€59/mo with annual billing only, and I found no report that takes AI referrals from your GA4.
Fits: freelancers and small agencies who want Google rankings and ChatGPT visibility in one subscription.
9. Ahrefs (Brand Radar prompt tracking)
Good at: tracking included in every paid plan, plus a large prompt database. Brand Radar says "Every paid Ahrefs plan includes a daily Custom Prompts quota (Lite 5, Standard 10, Advanced 20)". Custom prompts cover AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude, and you pick the cadence per platform. The AI Visibility Index of "531 million+" prompts lets you research any brand beyond the prompts you wrote, and Bot Analytics shows AI bot activity through CDN integrations.
Watch for: the included quota is small. "5 prompts on 1 platform = 150 checks/mo", which is what Lite (€119/mo as shown to me) includes, and "Claude consumes 8 checks per update". Extra prompt packages start at €46.7/mo as shown to me ($50/mo in the Brand Radar page's source), and the AI Visibility Index costs extra ("from €179/mo" on the pricing page). There is no live GA4 connector: Ahrefs Web Analytics can "import data from GA4", but that is Ahrefs' own analytics running on your site. Search Console connects natively.
Fits: Ahrefs users who want to add ChatGPT tracking without a second vendor.
Enterprise and agency platforms
The last three treat prompt tracking as one part of a larger platform, for enterprise content teams or for agencies that report to clients.
10. Conductor
Good at: a per-page join with GA4 and a broad engine list. Conductor supports ChatGPT (Auto), ChatGPT (Search), Claude Sonnet, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AIO, Grok, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity, and you set each topic to daily, weekly or monthly. It reports mention-based and citation-based share of voice. Its GA4 integration adds a "Performance by AI Engine" chart and AI Search columns on the Pages report, and the plan table lists Google Analytics, Search Console and the MCP server as included on every plan.
Watch for: no prices are published. Usage is metered (Essentials and Growth list "2,500 / yr" AI Search Credits), and Conductor warns that "Daily tracking will substantially increase your credit usage". GA4 data updates weekly, on Mondays. I could not find which engines each plan includes. A free trial is offered ("Try Conductor free for 3 weeks").
Fits: enterprise content teams that want answer tracking, GA4 and Search Console per page in one platform.
11. AgencyAnalytics (AI Tracker)
Good at: client reporting. AI Tracker shows how clients appear in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, beside the GA4, Search Console and other integrations an agency already reports from. Credits are usable across all clients, Search Console keywords can be added as prompts, and the price is public: €16.67 per 250 credits a month billed annually as shown to me ($20.83 in the page source), or $25 per 250 billed monthly in its help article, on top of a platform price of €17 per client a month billed annually as shown to me ($20 in the page source). The 14-day trial includes 250 credits.
Watch for: checks run weekly, not daily. A credit is one prompt on one platform in one location per check, so by my arithmetic 250 credits a month covers about 62 prompt, platform and location combinations checked weekly. Copilot and Grok are not in its list. The Opportunities feature covers only ChatGPT and AI Overviews, and I could not confirm a GA4 metric that isolates AI referral traffic.
Fits: agencies that send monthly reports and want ChatGPT on the same page as GA4 and Search Console.
12. seoClarity (ArcAI)
Good at: engine breadth and data access for large sites. ArcAI Visibility tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, Copilot, AI Overviews, Claude, DeepSeek and Grok, reports mention and citation share of voice, and has an API that can track prompts "daily, bi-weekly, weekly, monthly, or on-demand", plus an MCP server. The wider platform integrates Google Analytics and Search Console, with "16 months historical data on day one".
Watch for: ArcAI pricing is "Ask for a Quote" on every package, with prompt queries that "Starts at 500". It is listed as an optional add-on on the platform pricing page, whose Research & Content package "Starts at $2,500/month" or "Starts at £1,800/month". Visibility is checked weekly by default with daily available, AI bot tracking is a separate Discovery add-on, and the page does not say whether ArcAI's traffic figures come from GA4.
Fits: enterprises already on seoClarity, or shopping for a platform at that level.
How to choose a ChatGPT tracker
How often do you need the data?
Daily runs help with a small core of prompts you watch closely. Conductor's own guidance is daily "for high-priority or fast-moving areas", weekly "for active strategic monitoring" and monthly "for broader, lower-frequency coverage". Because single runs vary, my view is that a weekly trend over a stable prompt set tells you more than daily noise does, and in a credit-based tool it costs far less. If you do need daily data, note that AgencyAnalytics is weekly and that Scrunch drops to a 72-hour default after two weeks.
Which engines do you actually need?
All twelve track ChatGPT, so the differences are in everything else. Peec AI's self-serve plans let you pick three models, Otterly.AI and Searchable charge extra for AI Mode, Gemini and Claude, Semrush's custom prompts run on ChatGPT, AI Mode and Gemini, and AgencyAnalytics does not list Copilot. Pay for the engines your audience uses rather than for the longest list, and check whether "ChatGPT" means the interface with search or an API model when two tools give different numbers.
Prompts, credits or per-engine add-ons?
Three pricing units hide behind the headline price. Prompt plans (Peec AI's self-serve plans, Otterly.AI, Scrunch, Searchable, Semrush and SE Ranking) give you a fixed number of prompts. Credit or check plans (Rankscale, AgencyAnalytics, Conductor, Ahrefs and Peec AI's agency plans) charge for runs, so frequency, engines and sometimes locations multiply the cost. Per-engine add-ons (Otterly.AI, Searchable, Peec AI) raise the bill as soon as you go beyond the included engines. Price the setup you will actually run, which is your prompts times your engines times your frequency, and do not stop at the entry plan.
Running it for clients: pooling and workspaces
Agency pricing differs more than anything else here. AgencyAnalytics lets credits be used across all clients, and Peec AI's agency plans start at 10,000 credits (Essential, €205/mo as shown to me, $245/mo with a US time zone). Profound charges $399/month per client workspace, Scrunch's Agency Core ($500/mo) includes three brand workspaces and three pitch workspaces, Searchable's agency Launch plan ($250/mo) includes five projects, and SE Ranking adds white-label reporting through its Agency Pack. Work out your cost per client at your real client count before you compare these.
Which AI search monitoring platforms combine prompt tracking with GA4?
Peec AI, Searchable, Scrunch, Profound and Conductor connect your own GA4 property and show AI traffic or its conversions next to their prompt data, which is what connects citation data to real AI referral traffic in one place. Rankscale offers the connection as a preview from its Pro plan. Semrush, SE Ranking, AgencyAnalytics and seoClarity connect GA4 for their wider SEO reporting, but I could not confirm an AI referral report from your GA4 in any of them. Ahrefs and Otterly.AI have no live GA4 connection. On the Search Console side, Searchable, Semrush, SE Ranking, Ahrefs, Conductor, AgencyAnalytics and seoClarity connect natively, Peec AI has it in early access, Rankscale as a preview, and Profound mainly as data for its agents. I found no Search Console connection at Otterly.AI or Scrunch. For that comparison in more depth, see AI tools for GA4, GSC and AI visibility.
What is the best Rankscale alternative for daily prompt monitoring and GA4?
Rankscale's strengths are its engine count and per-term scheduling, while its GA4 and Search Console link is still a preview and not on Essentials. If daily prompt monitoring with a working GA4 connection is the requirement, Peec AI (daily on every plan, with AI Referrals on every plan) and Searchable (daily on Pro, GA4 and Search Console by OAuth) are the closest matches. Otterly.AI is close on price and runs daily but has no GA4 connector, and Scrunch connects GA4 but moves to a 72-hour refresh after a prompt's first 14 days.
What a tracker can't tell you, and your own data can
A tracker answers one question: what did the assistant say when the tracker asked? Three first-party reports answer different questions about real users, they cost nothing, and they are the reason I would start there before buying anything. None of them will show you ChatGPT's answers, and none of them replaces competitor share of voice, which is what a tracker is good for.
GA4: the visits ChatGPT actually sent
GA4's default channel group has an AI Assistant channel for users who arrive "from sources like ChatGPT, Gemini, Deepseek, Copilot, or Grok", assigned when the referrer matches GA4's list of assistants. It excludes Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, which count as Organic Search, and a visit without a referrer lands in another channel, so treat the number as a floor. It is the only one of the three that connects AI to conversions and revenue. The steps, including a regex channel group and sessions per landing page, are in AI referral traffic in GA4.
Search Console: the Generative AI performance report
Search Console has a separate Generative AI performance report, rolled out to all sites by August 31, 2026. It counts impressions of your links in AI Overviews and AI Mode together, by page, country, device and date, with no clicks and no queries. The regular Performance report has no AI filter, and AI clicks are counted under Web. How to read it, and how to compare it with your Web impressions per page, is in how to check if your website shows up in AI search.
Bing Webmaster Tools: AI Performance
Bing's AI Performance report shows how often your pages are cited in Microsoft Copilot, AI summaries in Bing and select partners, along with a sample of the grounding queries behind those citations. It is the one first-party report here that counts citations rather than impressions or visits, and the only one that shows AI-side queries at all. See the Bing AI Performance report explained.
Where GSC Wizard fits, and where it does not
GSC Wizard is my own product, and it is an analysis tool for first-party data rather than a tracker, which is why it is not one of the twelve. It connects Search Console and GA4 by OAuth and Bing Webmaster Tools by API key. The LLM Traffic report breaks your GA4 traffic down per assistant for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini, Claude and more than a dozen others, a blended view joins Search Console clicks with GA4 outcomes per landing page, and Query Analysis sorts Search Console queries by shape with pattern matching, including a bucket for queries that look like synthetic prompts from AI visibility tools, so they can be kept apart from keyword research. It judges how a query looks and not who sent it, so that bucket is an informed guess. An assistant can read the same data through the MCP server.
The limits are just as important. It runs no prompts, so it cannot tell you whether ChatGPT mentions or cites you, and it has no competitor citation data and no AI crawler logs. It does not import Search Console's Generative AI performance report or Bing's AI Performance report, so those two stay in Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. If you need answer presence or share of voice, you need one of the trackers above, and GSC Wizard sits next to it rather than replacing it. If what you actually want is your own SEO data inside ChatGPT, that is a different category, covered in the best ChatGPT plugins for marketing. Plans start at €17/month (the pricing page also lists $19 and £19) with a 7-day free trial, see pricing.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best ChatGPT rank tracking software?
There is no single best one, because the tools differ in engines, frequency and pricing unit. For daily ChatGPT tracking with GA4 traffic next to it, Peec AI and Searchable are the closest fit, because they are the only two that combine daily runs on the entry plan, a released GA4 connection that reports AI traffic and a self-serve price. Otterly.AI and Rankscale are the cheapest ways in. If you already pay for Semrush, SE Ranking or Ahrefs, their own prompt tracking is the easier start. AgencyAnalytics suits agencies reporting to clients, while Profound, Conductor and seoClarity publish no self-serve price for brands. Whichever you pick, compare the tool with itself over time rather than with another tracker.
Can you track your website's ranking in ChatGPT?
Not as a ranking. ChatGPT answers are generated text, and I could find no OpenAI report that gives site owners positions, impressions or clicks in ChatGPT. What trackers do is run prompts you choose on a schedule and record whether your brand is mentioned or your pages are cited. That is a sample, and the result depends on the prompts, the model, the location and the run. Visits from ChatGPT that carry a referrer are measurable in GA4's AI Assistant channel.
Is there a free ChatGPT rank tracker?
I could not confirm a permanently free plan with ongoing prompt tracking among the twelve tools in this guide. Semrush has a $0 plan for trying out the platform with one demo project, and Searchable's docs mention a Free plan that its pricing page does not list. Several have free trials: Profound runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days, Searchable offers 14 days, Scrunch 7 days, AgencyAnalytics 14 days with 250 credits, and Conductor 3 weeks, while Otterly.AI offers a trial without stating its length. Ahrefs includes 5 daily custom prompts, but only inside a paid plan. The free part of AI visibility is first-party data: GA4's AI Assistant channel, Search Console's Generative AI performance report and Bing's AI Performance report.
Which AI tracker connects to GA4?
Peec AI, Searchable, Scrunch, Profound and Conductor connect your own GA4 property and show AI traffic or its conversions next to prompt data, and Rankscale offers the connection as a preview from its Pro plan. Semrush, SE Ranking, AgencyAnalytics and seoClarity connect GA4 for wider SEO reporting, but I could not confirm an AI referral report from your GA4 in them. Otterly.AI offers a free Looker Studio template, and Ahrefs can import GA4 data into its own Web Analytics rather than connecting live.
What is a good Rankscale alternative?
For daily prompt monitoring with GA4, Peec AI (daily on every plan, with AI Referrals from GA4) and Searchable (daily on Pro, with GA4 and Search Console by OAuth) are the closest matches. Otterly.AI is close on price but has no GA4 connector, and Scrunch connects GA4 but moves to a 72-hour refresh after a prompt's first 14 days. Rankscale itself stands out for its engine count and for scheduling from hourly to monthly, paid in credits.
How often should ChatGPT visibility be tracked?
My advice is daily for a small set of prompts you watch closely and weekly for the rest. Answers vary from run to run, so a trend over several weeks on a stable prompt set says more than any single day. Frequency also drives cost in credit-based tools: Conductor warns that daily tracking will substantially increase credit usage, and in Rankscale every update consumes credits.
