Cannibalization Entropy

Measure how evenly a query’s impressions spread across the pages that rank for it.

Cannibalization Entropy (example data).
Run analysis

Using Shannon entropy over the impression distribution, a high value means impressions are spread evenly across pages (Google is unsure which to rank), while a low value means one page dominates (healthy). Only queries on 2+ pages with 10+ total impressions are included.

What you get

  • A threshold slider (0–3, default 1.0) and an optional topic-cluster filter.
  • An entropy-distribution histogram banded from Healthy to Critical.
  • A table of high-entropy queries with an expandable per-page impression-share breakdown, plus export.
